A Remarkable Climb in the UCI Ranking
At LDL Group, we believe in supporting local and emerging talent, and our partnership with Lara Defour is the perfect example of that. The 27-year-old cyclocross rider from Roeselare started her career in 2018 and founded her own team in 2022: Cycling Team JADE – LDL. Since then, Lara has proudly worn the orange and blue colors of LDL Group and JADE NV, while we continue to support her ambitions and fighting spirit on the bike.
The past year has been a rollercoaster for Lara. Despite a challenging start to the season due to mononucleosis, she fought back and proved her resilience. This resulted in an impressive rise in the UCI ranking, from 230th to 130th place! A true testament to her talent, determination, and hard work.
Strong Results on the International Stage
Lara has made her mark in the cyclocross world, achieving several outstanding results:
✅ Second place in UCI races in Hungary and Romania
✅ Fourth place in Luxembourg
✅ 13th place in the tough race in Otegem
✅ Vice-champion at the provincial championship
✅ Winner of the B-cross in Bekkevoort

At the Belgian Championship, Lara aimed for a podium finish. Unfortunately, a crash derailed her chances, preventing her from completing the race. But as we’ve come to expect from her, she refuses to let setbacks define her!

Lara’s ambitions are clear, and she has set her sights on even bigger goals:
